Ultrafiltration (UF)

Aslan’s UF Systems are pressure-dependent processes available in standard and custom configurations for use in water, wine, milk, fruit juices, and other solution clarification or concentration systems. Treatment and purification of source water as well as process or wastewater treatment presents other filtration problems that are easily addressed with ultrafiltration. These packages operate based on the principle of mechanical separation determined by the pore sizes of selected membranes. UF membranes are characterized by their molecular weight cut-off. They can reject particles in the 0.01 - 3 µm range (depending on the specifications required) to filter suspended solids, microorganisms, and most organic molecules. Both crossflow or dead-end filtration processes are used depending on the application in either batch or continuous operations. Pre-filtration can protect UF membranes with pores between 0.5 and 1.0 µm, depending on the composition of the solution or wastewater.

Hollow Fiber, Tubular Membrane or other types of membranes with different designs and configurations are available to suit your applications.
